With weight training you can can burn 8-10 calories per minute just by lifting weights.
The most effective combination for weight loss is pumping iron and jogging. Everything else is just not as effective and waste of time, your energy and efforts.

Hanging straight leg lift 3 sets 20 reps – make it harder, control your legs and slow the motion on the way down.
Mega slow bicycle crunches 3 sets 30 reps – practice full range of motion, do not rush, fat burning blast is in full range of motion
Zercher squat – make sure to keep your abs super tight 3 sets of 12 reps
Negative decline bench crunches 3 sets of 12 – go super slow in motion on the way down. Keep your abs tight, lower back arched and chin up while your chest is up.

About 2 weeks ago I posted some of my abs photos. Thanks guys for all compliments but this time I will write an article how to get them. It is not so hard as it looks like.
One thing I really do not like is a thick mid section. Totally looks bad. It will destroy every romantic moment you will ever have. I like a slim sexy look and only to get that look you will have to lose body fat aroud yor mid section.
Many guys have a huge biceps but a huge gut too. They think that’s cool. I do not think so. Bodybuilding and fitness is all about symmetry and proportions and not about bulky look.
At the same time I do not like that huge bodybuilder look, looks so unnatural, like genetically altered human bodies.
Like my friend other day said to me I just want to look sexy. That’s it. Who cares about huge bloated shoulders, huge bloated arms when you have a big gut hanging.
I am more about lean sexy look. I really do not care about huge muscles and me too just want to look sexy and lean. That’s it.
Many people forget about body symmetry.
Let’s get back to abs. If you want to get a six pack you will need to have a real good diet that will make you ultra lean. Even the best exercises will not help if you do not have a good diet.
All abs isolation and integration will not work without dieting. All muscle magazines have a huge section about abs and dieting. But to be honest with you most of those diets are a one big joke.
Do not trust magazines. They are mostly false.
If you want to lose stomach fat and see your six pack abs, focus first on your nutrition and lowering your body fat percentage. Once you get to 5% body fat you will see your abs.
Many people try to sell you abs workout routines but none of those will work without a diet. You will end up spending money and on the end you will be frustrated.
Also my friend there is no magic pill. There are no rapid cuts!
Great abs are a sign that a man is in optimal condition, takes care about his health and take pride in his body.
Women are not usually attracted to men with potbellies. Great abs are not so hard to get, but to find a right diet, that’s real hard. You may have to consult a personal trainer and nutritionist for advice on the most effective exercises and nutrition program for your individual body type.

Are you a gym quitter? If no, how do you avoid being one?
Take control of your body. Believe in yourself and your ability. Ignore those who try to discourage you and try to get you to quit. Avoid negative sources, people, places, things and habits. Don’t give up and don’t give in.
It is your body. It is your health and it is your destiny.

When we’re under too much stress our system may collapse.
Now sometimes this collapse is dramatic. A heart attack is an example of that. Or your stress related health problems may develop slowly over time and then, boom, the big one. A little inflammation here, a little immune dysfunction there. Or perhaps some overweight creeps up or you lose your energy and feel depressed, hyper-vigilant and not be able to sleep.
What happens as time goes on? It gets worse!
It’s not hard to understand because it makes sense.
What you need to master stress is a long-term plan. An aspirin and a valium today and a Prozac and a Lipitor tomorrow are not the best answer, even though some doctors follow that type of philosophy in their mode of practice.
So what’s the magic bullet, then?
Well I don’t think there is a magic bullet but there is a critically important formula and you know what it is.
Eat well, take your supplements, get enough exercise, sleep and rest and relax to soothe and calm your nerves and brain.
The myths of sex before sport – Should Athletes Abstain Before Big Events?

I had to write an article for a basketball magazine about sex & game. Basically how sex before the basketball game will influence the players. Is the sex before the game good or bad for the performance of the players?
Many old fashioned trainers are not allowing sex to their athletes before very important game.
Is sex before the game really beneficial to the players or athletes?
Let’s take a look into science of hormones.
Sex is the best method to increase testesterone levels. And when an athlete has increased testesterone levels, he has more energy, more focus, more aggressiveness, more endurance and more potential.
On top of that sex will make you relaxed. Sexual active athletes have more energy and they are more relaxed. This combination makes an athlete very superior.
Sexually active athlete is more agressive and more relaxed at the same time.
Athletes who do not practice sex before games, have to control their aggressive levels.
After sex, hormones levels sink but only for a short time, but that short time is not important for the athletic performance.
Conclusion: Basketball players can have sex before the basketball game but only with their wives
Now you know why Kobe Bryant is so successful as a basketball player.
Will Pilates training help me lose weight?

I get many emails from ladies all over the country asking me about pilates training. I do not want to be subjective and to give you my opinion, but let’s take look at recent studies from the prestigious universities. That is the best way to do it and not to look into tabloid magazines and their recommendations.
The first study is from University of Iowa Health Care:
The effects of Pilates training on flexibility and body composition: an observational study.
CONCLUSION: Pilates training may result in improved flexibility. However, its effects on body composition, health status, and posture are more limited and may be difficult to establish. Further study might involve larger sample sizes, comparison with an appropriate control group, and assessment of motor unit recruitment as well as strength of truncal stabilizers.

Another recent study completed at the prestigious Tufts University revealed that aerobic exercise is more effective for burning calories than Pilates.
If you would like to change body composition and lose weight, you better stick with weight training and aerobic exercise. Your time can be better spent on effective weight loss programs.
