Before personal trainers used to design training to achieve peak performance upon the own experience. In 21st century we use the latest high tech training methods to optimize training program for maximum performance based on adoption of science and not the level of the experience.
Training programs are not more based upon trial and error but upon the proven scientific research they are available to us today.
That is why we have some trainers in some gyms having notebook pads and measure the progress the client with the amounts of reps and weights applied and not upon the results achieved.
They measure something that they have no clue about and never achieve the results and optimum performance.
The performance is not predicted upon the notarizing of your reps but upon successful execution of training modules that are customized upon your body composition and training goal.
They do not take your individuality in equation where your uniqueness and your body type give another dimension to take in consideration.
Without taking in consideration your body composition and application of the right training component upon your body originality is never going to give results.
It will be just measuring of your reps and weights lifted without any improvement in your physical performance and physique. On the end you have to decide if you want someone to count your reps or to deliver results you deserve.

Have you failed to get fit in the past? Most people blame their genetic and body shape for their state of fitness.

Hanging straight leg lift 3 sets 20 reps – make it harder, control your legs and slow the motion on the way down.
Mega slow bicycle crunches 3 sets 30 reps – practice full range of motion, do not rush, fat burning blast is in full range of motion
Zercher squat – make sure to keep your abs super tight 3 sets of 12 reps
Negative decline bench crunches 3 sets of 12 – go super slow in motion on the way down. Keep your abs tight, lower back arched and chin up while your chest is up.

Announce to your friends, family and colleges on Facebook and twitter that you have a new fitness goal in mind and this time you are motivated to do it and make it happen. Your friends will keep you accountable and ask how it going. Most likely you won’t be able able to disappoint your family and friends in your New Year resolution. Nobody wants to look like loser.
Do not make same old promise as before. Do something new ,completely new to hit your fitness targets.
Many people do the same promise every year and never do anything extraordinary. Nothing new. Same old boring routine and same old failure in training. Do something completely new. Find positive people that will motivate you to achieve your fitness goals. Get away from boring franchise gyms and do something extraordinary. We all know that big franchise pizza shops have not a good pizza. You will have to go to a good italian family owned pizza restaurant to find a new amazing pizza. You know that greatness is not found within a big corporate gym but within people who care about your well being and results. Or you still think there is some profit in big chains training programs who do not care about your personality but the numbers only?
Find meaningful fitness goal. It is what’s inside that counts. Meaningful is in. Shallowness is out.
Do not say I just want to look hot and lose weight. Go deeper and find more meaningful goal that will keep you going all the way to the end. Focus on your health and feeling well and knowing that your health is more important goal you can have is the good start.
Motivate and reward yourself
Do not think that someone is out there that will do it for you. Be a tiger and know that you are alone and your success is your success and that nobody is to blame but you. Understand that if you succeed you will get the reward and in order to motivate yourself set goal. For example if I lose 30 lbs I will rewarf myself with trip to Europe this summer where I will enjoy my new body and enjoy the Italian beaches.
Talk about your fitness goals daily. Get away from old school fitness
We all encounter a lot of people daily. Talk to people about your goals and efforts. That way you do not hide in dark and you are more open and accountable to the whole world. Get away from old school principles and believes that clog your mindset and keep you fat.
Blog your food and what you eat. Get anti traditional. Get anti commercial diets.
Be accountable with foods you eat. Blog it and post picture either on blog, facebook or twitter. Make sure other people see it and support you in your goals. Otherwise you will be alone andget out of your passion for eating healthy. Make yourself responsible to the world and your friends. Most likely you will disappoint yourself and others. Get away from that commercial mindset that you are following big names diets. We all know they do not work. People get fatter and fatter. Do not allow yourself to end up being tricked into the same old commercial crap.
Write down stories about your training efforts and work with your personal trainers
In this world you are not alone. There are millions of people who have the same goal as you. They want to lose weight, shape up and tone up same as you do. Write down motivating stories about your training and your efforts with your trainer. Motivate others and others will motivate you to achieve results in fitness training.
Respect yourself and your efforts
Your hard work is to be respected. And if you do not, nobody will. Your work in the gym and eating healthy is precious. Understand that your change in your lifestyle long term will have positive effects on your health and others. As such , walk in respect to yourself and others. What cardio workout will burn the most calories per hour?
Jogging: 547 calories per hour

With weight training you can can burn 8-10 calories per minute just by lifting weights.
The most effective combination for weight loss is pumping iron and jogging. Everything else is just not as effective and waste of time, your energy and efforts.

Nobody believed in him. Not even our client trusted in himself that he can change his body composition. He was desperate to change his physique for better and improve his fitness levels. We knew he is a star and we believed in him when nobody else wanted to offer him a hand.

In the first place people gain weight due to the rapid decrease of the metabolic rate caused by the inactivity. Inactivity leads with the age to the loss of the lean muscle man which represent the lower metabolic rate due to the loss of the muscle mass.
Muscle is the fat burning machine of the human organism and loss of the lean muscle mass cause man to gain weight and rapidly increase the body fat percentage that leads to the imbalance in Neural Mechanisms.
The imbalance in neural mechanism of the human body leads to the mixture of hormones within a body and negative hormonal profile that cause man to get out of the normal production of mechanical bio processes within a body.
Imbalance in hormonal profile is caused by the loss of muscle cells. Thus we as humans gain the fat and all is caused by inactivity and decrease of muscle cells.
Scientific evidence shows us the real picture of the metabolic slowdown. Only way to fight the ever growing increase of fat cells is with increase of the muscle mass.
Human body needs to balance the increase of the fat cells with increase of the muscle cells .
And the most effective and best way to gain lean muscle mass is weight and strength training and not an aerobic exercises like spinning, dancing, all kinds of jumping fitness trends of today.
Those cardio classes are just designed for commercial gain without any scientific research nor evidence for the people who have no knowledge of bio mechanics of the human body and processes within that lead to the fat loss. Those classes are often designed from uneducated people who do not even know the bio mechanics of the human body.
Are you going still to apply cardio exercises for your weight loss strategy that you know the truth? Are you still hoping to lose weight without getting involved in strength training? Do you remember the fitness trends of few years ago. Now they are history and nobody mentions it anymore.
Sometimes people portray something as fun and effective exercise just to involve you, but on the end you will yourself experience how effective and fun it really was for you. I do not see anything fun and effective in spending so many hours in ineffective workout programs without yielding results.
You might lost some muscle cells but do not allow yourself to lose brain cells too. You know better.

We all know that athletes look lean and muscular. They are in great shape thanks for the focusing on building explosive power and strength to achieve the great body.
Applying jumping and plyometrics in fitness training adds another dimension for the gains and progress in losing weight.
If you have fat accumulated around legs area, great way to bring legs in great shape is with depth jumps, bounding drill on one foot and altitude jumps with squat box.
Using jumps we can duplicate movements of squat and deadlifts to achieve the optimum results.
As we progress in strength and explosiveness we can always add barbells with weights and increase strength even more. Also fitness trainers apply dynamic method to develop explosive power and strength using moderate weights while applying the maximum speed. One of dynamic exercises would be box squat.
Box squatting is used by elite athletes and it is popularized by many pro fitness and athletic coaches around American colleges.
Benefits of box squats: You will develop hip power that will make you more explosive and stronger. And thus more explosive you get, less body fat you will be carrying around.

Today in NYC we have snow and cold weather, days are shorter and all of those components influence our fight with fat cells. When temperatures drop, our body responds by releasing hormones to stimulate the appetite. Suddenly we feel more hungry. Natural mechanism that is embedded in our body urge us to eat more to generate heat and warm up. Thus we crave food. It is not fun!
In winter also we release less “feel good” hormone or “happy” hormone serotonin that negatively effects our mood and cravings for carbohydrates. Many people have New Year resolution going on but the fact is that all components work against us in winter months. In short we struggle to control our appetite in colder weather. Here are few tips from me that will get you lean definition and help you overcome winter blues.
Include protein in each meal
Do you know that it takes more energy to digest the protein than an equal calorie serving of fat and carbs and will keep your body heat mechanism working longer. Protein based meal trigger fullness and we have less often cravings for carbs.
Eat often but healthy
In order to avoid carb cravings eat often but healthy. If you get hungry, go ahead and eat, but stay healthy.
Add heat producing ingredients to your meals
Here in New York almost every food place has red-pepper flakes that we can spice our food with.
You can add chillies, black pepper and curcumin to your food and it has been shown that those ingredients will increase heat production warming you up in winter months and burn more calories. Spice up your meals and enjoy the extra heat that will add up to your effective strategy to keep you lean in cold months.
